Cardiac Monitor/Defibrillator
Anyone who has ever seen a medical or rescue show on TV or in the movies is familiar with the use of a defibrillator. Battery powered and fully self contained, this system can both monitor the heartbeat and deliver a shock to change an improper heart rhythm to a more normal condition. The unit includes a video monitor for immediate observation of heart rhythm with 4 leads or print out a 12 Lead strip to evaluate the Heart to see if the Patient is possibly having a Heart Attack. It also has a blood pressure monitor, SPO2 monitor to check oxygen levels in the blood, and a CO2 monitor for checking carbon dioxide levels.
This is a "manual" unit in that an Emergency Medical Technician, Cardiac, (EMT-C) or other properly trained individual must make the determination as to when and if to apply a shock and how strong a shock is to be delivered.
