Firefighter II

In addition to attaining certification as Firefighter I, the following advanced training is necessary to qualify as Firefighter II:

CLASSROOM TRAINING:
  • Fire site situation analysis
  • Proper and expedient deployment of fire site resources
  • Principles of command

TESTING:

 After completing these classroom requirements, the Firefighter II candidate is tested on:

  • Analyzing orally presented fire site situations
  • Making command type decisions on correct methods to handle the situations presented
Upon successfully meeting these requirements, the candidate may be certified as a Firefighter II.
